Abandoned games

Do you have an abandoned games on your hard drive?

The other day I was cleaning up my computer it’s amazing what I have saved over the last couple years. I have more junk than I thought possible then I started looking at the game I had installed. Holy Crap, I still have that!

I have games that should have been paying me rent for the space they were taking up. Unfortunately they don’t have the cash to pay up. I think a few of these deserve to be part of the big purge.

The Purge

Divinity: sorry old friend you have to go. Old RPG. This was a great game in its day but I think this over stayed its time on my computer.

Farcry 3: This game never lived up to my expectations. It was nothing more than the same game with better graphics and they threw in a crappy crafting system, just to say it was unique. Well it wasn’t and I want my rent money.

Crysis 3: This game is a carbon copy of what I said about Farcry 3. Just the same game with better graphics. This game is fun to play but it is a bit disappointing that they are not very creative with their story lines. The same story over and over blah, blah.

Dishonored: This was a game I was really excited about playing when it first came out. With most game in this genre they have a very short single play story. Once you finish the game there isn’t much point of playing the game over again. The whole point of this game was to make more money later by selling DLC.  Great game but still a rip-off in my book.

There are just of the few game I tossed out from my abandoned games section.

Here what’s staying!

There are some games I just don’t have the heart to evict from my system. Like Skyrim, it will always have a place on my hard drive rent free. For matter all of the Elder Scrolls games can say rent free too.

Another game that has a place on my drive is Project CARS which still in alpha but they keep making giant leap closer to becoming a more complete game. If you like racing games this one you have to take a closer look at.

The first is the MMO I really dedicated a lot of time too, SWG (Star Wars Galaxies) I still have that on my hard even though the official servers are down now. I play SWGEMU (SWG Emulator) on some private servers, so if you have a copy of the game check it out. So I’ll keep that around awhile longer.

I’m not going to list all the game that are stay because I’d be here till October. Here’s a taste Rift, SWTOR, Neverwinter, Star Trek Online, Minecraft, CubeWorld, GuildWars2, Firefall, Dragons Prophet, etc…

So I ask you today, what games are abandoned on your computer?

There will always be games that will stay on the computer for ever but never played.. and I have quite a few actually! Although most notable would be World of Warcraft, Diablo 2 and Heroes 3. I’ve played WoW for 6 years so wont ever ever get rid of that, and D2 and Heroes 3 is just a classic.. you just simply can’t delete it.. to do so would be inhuman!
They are abandoned, but not forgotten!
