Assassins Creed IV

I will be the first to admit that I have been overly critical in the past when it came to Assassins Creed games, mostly because the use of a mix of history and fiction. I have always had some issues with this series when it comes to not really having full control over you character sometime as you play, but I don’t really want to get into that right now. Let’s move on to what I’ve seen so far Assassins Creed IV.

I still love the idea of mix real history with a video game so I decided that I would give the latest AC a run and review after I had a little more gameplay under my belt.

What can I say about a game that lets you play as a pirate? Well its freaking awesome! So far so good, I have played just over 50% of the main storyline and what I see so far is amazing.

Love the wide openness of being able to leave port and sail where you want to go. Assassins Creed IV is basically Grand Theft Auto but based in the days of Pirates, just like GTA you have a storyline you can follow when you feel like it and when you don’t just chase booty as you see fit! Did I actually say that?

Gameplay: The gameplay is very similar to previous version with the exception to travelling on the high seas and sea based combat.

Graphics: Same old same old, clean crisp and amazing.

Sounds: Well done and the ships crews chant and sing along while at is a great touch to spice up your traveling time at sea.

Overall: So far I’m very impressed with this game! This game so far has been a blast to play and I’ll put up full review of Assassins Creed IV soon.

The singing of sea shanties entertains me much more than I feel it should! (that’s a lie, that’s a lie, that’s a lie lie lie!) I’m just under 50% completion, but I keep finding myself getting side tracked by storming Forts or whaling!

I have been known to hum along to shanties even when I’m not playing, some how I can’t get those out of my head. It is very easy to get sidetracked, but so far it is a great game.
