Long Trail Brewing Company
So another Friday and another get-together is planned, so I figured it was time for another IPA to grace its appearance tonight and the choice is Limbo IPA. I don’t recall if I have ever had anything from Long Trail Brewing before, but can’t wait to try this offering.
Limbo IPA pours an orange copper to a slight amber color with an off white head. The head hangs around for a decent amount of time before subsiding into great looking lacing that covers most of the top of the brew.
Limbo IPA comes in with a full bouquet of smells first with orange/grapefruit and then later one you have more of lite pine to a nice baked bread smell.
This the smell of what IPA dreams are made of, can’t wait to get a drink of this.
The taste of Limbo IPA is a flip flop from the smell. First you get the hoppy pine and bready malty tastes coming in strong way a head of the citrus. Wow this really packs a lot of flavor, this is a great highly drinkable beer.
To some they may say that Long Trail Brewing played it safe by sticking with a simplistic flavor, and I would say I’m glad because the nailed it!
Limbo IPA is what it is, it’s an IPA that is full of flavor and you don’t get bogged down with a bunch of extra added flavors. Its IPA flavored and it’s a great overall beer.
