Minecraft Experience

So I was thinking of what to write next, and remember that someone I know was giving too much emphasis on the game Minecraft, so I said to myself why not give it a try since I am looking for a new game to entertain me.  And I was not disappointed, I tried to play the creative mode, the game function is pretty basic, even a newbie will quickly grasp it, but this game is only for those creative mind, player with a playful imagination that could mix and match the stuff provided inside the game to create a something.  It was like a Lego during my childhood days, only this time it is a bit more techy.

It took me about 3 days to complete my first building and it wasn’t even a house, actually at first I was planning to build a house, then it got bigger and bigger until it became a courthouse.  I placed a door on one of the mountain and started from there before I know it I cannot stop building, my imagination just started to work, I am now laying the main road (but the snow is just too thick and its covering the main road) and will eventually create my indoor aquarium using those glass bricks, I just have to put lights at the bottom of the aquarium to make it more visible during night time.

Mind you I am only a beginner in Minecraft so do not laugh at my first creation.  And I am not here to boast as well, I just wanna relay my experience to everyone that this thing is we all need, this is the type of creative game we should all be getting and I believe we deserve this kind of game.

The things to do and create inside the game is just too endless.  You can create your own virtual world, a place that you always envision to be.  You can create your own community and its up to you if you wanna make it a business district an industrial or a country type settings.  Parents can rest assured that their kids are getting the good stuff, and furthermore can enhance their imagination and creative skills.

Basically I am writing these article to ask for everyone on a stuff they did inside the game and how they did it?  I am like I said a newbie, and would be glad to learn the things that each of you built, not really to replicate but to receive idea and concept and turn it to something that suits my personality. So how creative did you go on Minecraft?  Share us your knowledge and creativity.

That looks like an interesting building!
I myself have played Minecraft for quite a bit, even though I have the lack of imagination… or well, the lack of ability to make my imagination come to life in the game. However I do have quite a few projects I’m quite proud of, 1 being a midsize Viking village on a public server.

Are you playing offline or on an online server?

Red stone is by far my favorite part of Minecraft, but that’s partially because I am somewhat of a programmer, and red stone is basically mechanical engineering translated into programming. Also, I always end up building giant towers of snow on minecraft servers for some reason. Also, I like playing multiplayer survival mode with friends.

I’ve been building up a city in my Minecraft world on and off for over a year and a half, with things like grocery stores, town halls, museums, and shops. I eventually included buildings based on real ones, like the Paris Opera House.

I started out with Minecraft – last year I believe. By now, I tend to use it for making models of areas or worlds that I need to be able to see more physically. I can’t see 3D so it’s a challenge building; I have learned workarounds like making a 1-tile tower to represent the height I’ll want of this or that thing. I too love the game though and agree it’s really good for creativity. If you like this kind of thing but want a little more “game” in addition to building, try – the makers went on to creating another game that’s out later this year (, but Terraria is still around as well:)

Terraria is an excellent game, and just had a huge update released. I may actually write a review on Terraria sometime soon. However, Starbound is not produced by the same person as Terraria, though it is very stylized towards terraria.

Things I’ve made include a cobblestone generator and an underwater fortress. The fortress was especially time consuming be cause I had the bright idea to clear out a couple chunks worth or water by filling it with sand, then I had to clear out the sand. I’m still deciding whether or not it was worth it. 🙂
