Naked Pig Pale Ale Review

OK so it was a the day of a get together and barbecue, so I headed to the beer to store to get something different, what I found was Naked Pig Pale Ale which was appropriate because we were cooking ribs.

The color at the pour was a lot lighter that what I expected from a pale ale. The color was a dark yellow to amber like color. A very light and fluffy head two-inch tall head that dissipated in under one minute to a light foam with very little lacing.

The Naked Pig Pale Ale smells wasn’t as weak as the lack of color, coming in strong with a light hoppy and malty fragrance with a touch of pine notes in the end.

Overall more hoppy than the malts smells coming through.

This a very well balance beer, very great malty, citrus, to piney taste, with the expected amount of bitterness at the end. The Naked Pig Pale Ale is lightly carbonated to medium.

Great flavor and great drinkability all rolled in to one bottle.

Verdict: 5of6

Naked Pig Pale Ale a perfect example of a great summer time pale ale, perfect for a barbeque, outdoor activities, or just hanging out having a few beers with friends. This in on my recommended list and I will be picking up Naked Pig Pale Ale again.

With a name like “Naked Pig”, I got to try this one next time I barbecue a rack of pork ribs. Great review! Where’s this one hail from again?

This would be a good choice for BBQ, the beer is from Back Forty Brewing out of Alabama. Small company and a great beer overall.
