Stone Ruination IPA

Stone Brewing Co.

Now that we have finally got Halloween behind us it’s time to get back to business with some more great beer flavored the way they were meant to be flavored. So I decided to get back to my wheelhouse and go with one of my favorites types of beer an IPA

Stone Ruination IPA pours a pale burnt to amber golden orange color with quite a bit of carbonation running up the sides of the pour. The head settles to a height of one or two fingers tall, that is bone white in color.

Not really sure where to start smellwise (I don’t even think “Smellwise” is a word) for Stone Ruination IPA.  There are a lot of smells coming through you have the hops, pine, citrus, and in the end you get something along the lines of spices, that I really can’t identify but it is there.

After a second smell the background is that of bread with a touch of fruit, this could be amazing beer.

Stone Ruination IPA on first drink is pretty much a normal IPA with a very bitter pine taste coming in strong, and then it ends in a more of toasted wood taste. On second drink you have much more of a citrus or grapefruit flavor coming in stronger and stronger with each additional drink.

Stone Ruination IPA is a very strong tasting beer and not a beer for the light beer fans! This a great sipping beer that really is great shared with friends.

Overall Stone Ruination IPA is a very strong but flavorful IPA that is very near perfection. This a great beer that needs to be savored as it is very strong, but very artfully done. A friend summed it up best by saying “after drinking this beer most everything will taste like water”.

If you desire a rich deep flavorful beer then Stone Ruination IPA might be the beer for you!
