The Guild Leader Episode #44
The Good Guild Leader VS The Bad Guild Leader
I just thought today I would take some time and list out the differences between a good guild leader and a bad guild leader. To me now a lot of these are common sense but for a guild leader you sometimes forget them and need to read something like this to reassure yourself that you travelling down the right path.
The good guild leader will always put the guild and groups goals ahead of personal goals. The whole goal of a guild is to succeed as a group.
The bad guild leader will always put their personal goals a head of the guild and group goals. Many guild fail because the guild leader doesn’t follow through with the guild goals or the goals of their members.
The good guild leader will delegate leadership tasks and have an open guild management with many individuals, so that there is some room for freedom of their game play time.
The Bad guild leader will not delegate and will either try to control everything. This will end in epic failure or the eventual guild leader that quits from burn out.
The good guild leader plays by the rules that the guild set way back in the beginning. You created rules to keep the guild as a whole and individual members in check. Everyone should play by the rules to everything in order.
The bad guild leader will ignore the rules of the guild and shoot from the hip. Not playing or adhering to the rules of the guild can lower moral of the overall guild.
The good guild leader promotes people deserving of a promotion. Promoting deserving people will always raise the morale of the guild.
The bad guild leader promote because they like a person or as some sort of favoritism.
The good guild leader is on pretty much on and in-game on a daily basis. You need to keep up your appearances, its fine to take a break, but make sure you give a heads up to everyone.
The bad guild leader that doesn’t log in or never lets anyone know when they will be online is never good.
A good guild leader lets everyone know what is going on at a regular basis in the guild. I can’t stress the need for good communication in a guild.
A bad guild leader can’t be bothered to tell even the most minuscule information to the guild.
Well there you have it a few things that make a good guild leader compared to a bad guild leader.
