 Guild Leader

Guild Hosted Events

I get a lot of question on needing help with recruiting, so I decided to I would give a good way to help your recruit more members. As a guild leader one way to showcase your guild is by hosting events, that will help you get to know more people on your server and to show your guild off to prospective new guild members.

So why host an event anyway?

Well the first reason is to make your guild more visible to the game player base as a whole and to people who are looking for a guild to join. You would be surprised how many people will show up to an event if you give them the chance.

Having a server presence is a great way to build more members and to let people know about you and what your guild is all about.

What types of events should we host?

Guild Street Party

Hold a street part can be a great way to meet other people on your server. This is a great way to meet and recruit people through this type of event.

If possible set up a courses and hold races and hand out prizes for the top 3 racers.  You can have people race on foot or on mounts that are in-game. One way we set course is to put players around to form checkpoints so that nobody can cheat and cut corners.

Guild Market

If you have some crafting oriented player showcase what they can build by having a market or a guild yard sale, display items for sale and let people know your crafters can provide the server with the items they need.

Every time there is an in-game event keep some of the costume items, and acquire some of the rare wearable to put on parades.

Open Raids

One thing we tried a few times was letting non-guild players join our raid groups. This a great way to meet new members and a good way to see if the person is a good candidate for the guild at the same time.

Story events

As developers add new content you could hold large groups needed to finish this content and develop friends in other guild at the same time, while completing these events.

One thing to never overlook is to ask a GM or a staff from your game of choice for help if you need a special items for the event or something like that. I have done this with success several times, a lot of time you will have the developers at the event as well making sure everything works as planned.

These are just a few ideas that I have tried and all of these thing work well and players seemed to like these events.
